Computer Technology (for Healthcare)

Because we live in a computerized society, basic knowledge of computer terminology is essential in paving the way to both personal and professional advancement. The Computer Technology Program will equip students with valuable skills needed to complete essential tasks in an entry level position.
Employment Outlook:
Employment opportunities are expected to increase much faster than average through the year 2014, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. The computer industry will be one of the fastest growing industries with a projected annual job growth rate from 31-55 percent.

The duration of the course is 22 weeks (320 clock hours) Upon passing and completing the course, the student will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to take the National Certification Exam, IC3 GS3, which is a three part exam.

  • Placement exam
  • High school diploma or equivalent (10th grade reading and math skills required)
  • Good motor co-ordination, manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordination
  • Must display flexibility and the ability to accept and integrate constructive criticism
